Drop PNG or JPG files
Or click to browse — multiple files OK
Soft limit: about 50 files per round (very large batches can slow the tab). Drop again for the rest — everything still stays on your device.
PNG vs JPG — which should you use?
PNG is lossless and keeps transparency, so it is ideal for logos, screenshots, and graphics with sharp edges. JPG is lossy and much smaller, which suits photographs and upload forms with tight size caps. Converting PNG → JPG shrinks the file; converting JPG → PNG gives you a lossless copy (though not the original quality back).
Why did my transparent PNG go white?
JPG cannot store transparency. When you convert a transparent PNG to JPG, the see-through areas are filled — this tool fills them white so they never turn black. Keep PNG if transparency matters.

Frequently asked questions
How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Drop your PNG files above with the direction set to PNG → JPG and download the JPGs. It runs in your browser using the Canvas API — nothing is uploaded.
Why is my transparent PNG turning white as a JPG?
JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are flattened onto a white background. If you need to keep transparency, stay in PNG (or convert JPG → PNG here).
Can I convert JPG to PNG too?
Yes — switch the direction dropdown to JPG → PNG. Useful when a form or editor needs PNG.
Will the JPG lose quality?
JPG uses lossy compression, so there is a small quality trade-off for a much smaller file. This tool encodes at high quality (about 92%), which looks visually identical for photos.
Can I convert many files at once?
Yes — drop multiple files and download a ZIP. Very large batches process about 50 at a time; drop again for more. Everything stays on your device.
Do you upload my images?
No. Decoding and re-encoding happen in your browser. Turn on airplane mode after the page loads and it still works.
