Frequently asked questions

How do I get the color from an image?

Drop an image, move your cursor over it to preview the color under the pointer, and click to pick it. The hex and RGB values appear and are copied with one tap.

What formats do I get?

Both hex (like #3b82f6) and RGB (like rgb(59, 130, 246)). Recently picked colors are kept as swatches you can copy again.

Is the color exact?

It reads the pixel under your cursor from the displayed image. For very large images the preview is scaled to fit, which can blend adjacent pixels slightly.

Is my image uploaded?

No. Pixels are read from a canvas in your browser. Turn on airplane mode after the page loads and it still works.
